The
other system known as Juho, deals with situations where an
opponent has grabbed your clothing or some part of the body. The
techniques employed in these situations can be either effective
escaping techniques or wrist and arm throws along with pins. These
two are also combined at more advanced levels so that a throw may
be used against a strike.
The central theme of practising Shorinji Kempo is
in pairs as this is the only way to grasp all the intricacies of
self defence techniques. Furthermore this is an ideal method to
develop the mind through mutual interaction. |
